Matti Hautsalo
Chairman

Matti Hautsalo, Chairman of the Board at Chip-Man Technologies, is a partner at Aura Capital a Finnish early stage venture capital based in Helsinki, Finland.   He has worked for several years in investment banking and private equity arrangements for non-quoted companies.  Matti has held the position of Managing Director at Privanet Capital Plc. and has also worked at McKinsey and ING Group asset management.  Currently Matti is also Chairman of the Board at Adaptamat Oy and a Board Member at IP Europe Ltd. and Commit Oy.



Jane Spencer-Fry, PhD

Chief Executive Officer

 

Before joining Chip-Man Technologies, Jane held positions with BioVeris Europe as Director Sales and prior to this for Packard Biosciences and Amersham International in a variety of commercial and scientific roles  She holds a degree in biochemistry, a PhD in molecular biology and has over two decades experience of working in the Life Sciences, Industrial and Biodefence markets. 

 

 


Jussi Tarvainen, MSc

Product Development Manager

 

Prior to joining Chip-Man Technologies in 2004 Jussi completed an MSc in automation technology at the Technical Research Centre of Finland, Tampere where he also held the position of Project Manager.  Jussi has extensive knowledge of machine vision based technology, algorithm development and hardware design.  At the Technical Research Centre he was involved in several projects including system hardware & software design for the manufacturing and electronics industries and automated living cell analysis.

 

 

 

Marek Novotny

Development & Production Manager

 

Marek studied automation and control engineering at the University of Technology, Tampere where he graduated in 2000.  He joined the Microsystems group at the University as a researcher working on projects such as the micromanipulator and microassembly station following his degree.  In 2004 Marek joined Chip-Man Technologies where he has been extensively involved in the design & development of Cell-IQ.  Recently Marek has also taken responsibility for manufacturing and service of the Chip-Man Technologies product range.
