Cell-IQ can be used for study a plethora of applications from angiogenesis, toxicity studies to stem cell differentiation. The researcher can record and analyse simple parameters, such as total number of cells present in the sample to more complex situations where a heterogeneous population of cells are being studied where data is required on all of the cell types present in the sample are required toether with data on the number of cells in each phase of the cell cycle throughout the experiment.
For simplicity the applications have been grouped into five main categories:
1. Basic parameters of the cell population
- Cell Number
- Cell proliferation
- Cell death
2. Dynamic parameters of the cell population
- Attachment
- Migration
- Cell shape, size and rate of change
- Mitotic index
- Direction and speed of movement
3. Morphological features
- Neurite outgrowth
- Cytoplasmic and nuclear changes
- Vacuole/vesicle formation
- Blood vessel formation
- Cannaniculi formation
- Lipid formation
4. Recognition of different cell types
- Co-cultures
- Feeder layers
- Primary cell lines
- Stem cell differentiation
5. Phenotypic cellular assays
-
siRNA constructs
-
cDNA vectors
